Pretty Lady

I love anything with ladybugs, so when I find cute paper, I have to get it. I made a birthday card using my latest find, inspired by a sketch from Seize the Birthday.

The ladybug is from the Paisley cartridge and I used felt for the rolled flowers. I added gems and ribbon to finish off the card.

Inside the card I added another ladybug and birthday sentiment.

Thanks

Happ-Bee Birthday

I made a quick birthday card for a friend over the weekend.

The cute bee is from the Paisley cartridge. I added ribbon, a border punch, and a little bling on the card. I was also able to use up some scraps in the process! Everything except the base of the card is from the scrap pile.

Thanks!

Under the Weather

April is here and it brought its showers to San Antonio this week, so I decided to make a card inspired by the weather.

I used Paisley for the umbrella and Create a Critter for the cloud. I also added gems to look like falling rain. I love those little things, but I don't have very many. So I think I have to add more to my collection.

I also added another cloud on the inside.

Thanks

Snail Mail

I made a quick birthday card recently since I'm trying to build up my stash. As a bonus, I made a dent in my scraps pile.

I'm also trying to use cuts from my Cricut cartridges that I've never used before. This snail is from Paisley, which is one of the first cartridges I bought. I realized there are a lot of cuts on that cartridge that I've never used, so I plan on changing that.

I love this color combo; it think it's perfect for a little boy. Here's the inside.

Thanks

Clever Clovers

I wanted to make a card with four-leaf clovers in honor of St. Patrick's Day, but I didn't have any Cricut cartridges with that cut. My collection is still pretty small, and while I do have a cartridge with St. Patrick's Day images, it doesn't have clovers.

So I improvised. I found a flower on my Paisley cartridge that I thought might work. The "clover" is one of the button features on that cartridge.

The stamp was the inspiration for the entire card. I put some of the clovers on foam dots for dimension and added ribbon.

I left the inside of the card blank to write a note.

Sweet 15

My cousin had her Quinceanera, a sweet 15 party, over the weekend. There were sparkles and teenagers everywhere!

Her main color was purple and had a stars theme. This is the card I made for her. (Sorry for the horrible picture.)

The "Sweet" is from Create a Critter. The tiara is from Paisley. I cut two of them and layered with pop dots. The "15" is from George and Basic Shapes. I added ribbon, gems and glitter glue for extra sparkle. Because the party had a star theme, I added the little star brads. They also are glittery.  I've had that little pack of brads for about two years. I'm glad I remembered them and pulled them out for this project.

Inside the card, I added more stars.

Thanks.

First Valentine's Day Cards

This is going to be my daughter's second Valentine's Day, but first time sending cards. I wanted to make a little something to send along with treats for other kids around my daughter's age that we are close to. They are 3x3, so small but cute.

I got the idea for these cards from the cute elephant holding the envelope. It is from the Paisley Cricut cartridge. I went with the theme and cut more animals from Create a Critter. I added the little envelope to those as well. The stamp mat in the background is also from Create a Critter. The stamp, "Sending you lots of love," is from Royal Castle Shoppe's Royal Pain set.

The animals are on pop dots for a little dimension. Inside the card is a simple Valentine's Day sentiment.

These cards were fun for me because all the animals were made using scraps and I got to use cuts I've never used before. Those critters are so cute, I'm sure I'll be using them again soon.

I hope the little ones love these.

Getting Organized

Over at Fantabulous Cricut, they are trying to get organized for the New Year. That inspired me to get a little organized myself.

I had a plain, white photo box lying around, so I decided to decorate it for my card stash. I've been trying to make extra cards here and there to have on hand, and I thought this was a great way to organize them.

This is what I started with:

Pretty boring, right? So I grabbed paper from my stash and my Cricut. I used Paisley and Alphalicious for the top of the box. Hmm, I just realized I put the S on upside down. I'll have to fix that!

It was quick and easy, and now I have a place to put my cards. I'm thinking of making one for my clear stamps.

Thanks!
